The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with utilizing the full worth of seized Russian assets to bolster the Ukrainian military campaign, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the officials of the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany stated that this unified step would increase strain on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and persuade Moscow to participate in talks.

They added that the initiative would be executed in tight collaboration with the America.

British sanctions have immobilized more than £25bn of Russian resources since Russia began its comprehensive attack against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. However, previously, resources sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian assets had only been sourced from profits and interest accrued on them.

Sir Keir told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their desire to advance efforts toward employing the complete amount of the frozen Russian sovereign holdings to halt hostilities.

He noted that more measures over the next period would heighten the tension on Russia.

This statement follows European leaders gathered in Copenhagen last week to discuss using immobilized Russian assets for a 140-billion-euro credit to Ukraine.

Last month, President Donald Trump urged Group of Seven partners to confiscate or utilize seized Russian assets, as reported by media sources.

The total of seized Russian assets in the European Union is assessed to be almost €211bn.

Russia carried out widespread aerial attacks all over Ukraine on Friday, leading to power cuts in many areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, and multiple additional areas.

In a message on X following the incident, Zelensky wrote that the cynical and calculated attack focused on public and utility structures.

"Every sanction decision weakens Russia's war machine," Zelensky wrote, in a different message.

Also on Friday, Zelensky stated to the press he would encourage Sir Keir to enter the PURL program, under which partner nations acquire weapons from the United States to give to the Ukrainian forces.

While commending the UK's consistent assistance for Ukraine, he remarked it should send a clear signal that it would take part in the system, as well as impose further measures on Moscow.
