The network's Top Fresh Series of 2025 Earns a Significant Extension for Seasons 2 and 3.
Last October, the late-night programming block debuted a new season of its offbeat hit, Smiling Friends. However, later that same month, the channel introduced a fresh animated series with a distinctly unique tone. Haha, You Clowns was heartwarming and calm, reminiscent of a animated take of a laid-back talk show. A Major Commitment
On December 18th, Adult Swim confirmed a big renewal: Haha, You Clowns has been greenlit for two additional seasons. This provides showrunner Joe Cappa ample opportunity to further explore the story of the Campbell family. The series follows three polite teenage brothers whose central trait is their profound affection for their widowed father, with Cappa providing the voices for all four key characters.
"I am incredibly thankful to the viewers of the show who welcomed the series and spread the word," stated Cappa. "I’m incredibly thrilled that I get to continue exploring the Campbell household for the foreseeable future."

Accompanying the news praise from Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen, who called the series as "profoundly sincere and oddly captivating." He thanked the fans who discovered the show and advocated for its distinctly quirky style.
"All of you supported this new show, praised it on social media, and grew it week over week so we could greenlight not one, but two more seasons," commented Ouweleen. "As the show says: 'You are strong! You are loved!'"
A Different Kind of Comedy

In earlier interviews, creator Joe Cappa stated his goal to evolve comedy past its current sarcastic tone. He linked this trend to a broader media landscape.
“There's this level of irony that we keep returning to,” noted Cappa. “It feels as if we have to know we’re the smartest person in the room when we're watching stuff. I feel like we've been doing this for 10 years, and we just have to laugh at something different now. The genre needs to change.”
What Comes Next
Given this two-season order, with Haha, You Clowns guaranteed to return, Cappa could potentially be part of that very evolution. Or at the very least, the renewal ensures audiences additional episodes to bask in the gentle humor of the unique Campbell clan.
