Loyal fans of the actress are demanding that a man who jumped a fence and grabbed the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good launch be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating clip reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside photographers and lunging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by fans.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a performance. His Instagram account includes videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney show in June this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last December.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is obviously a punishable act," commented an Instagram commenter, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a suicide bomb attack at the finale of her May 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned event staff at the Thursday event for not being sufficiently alert; while different individuals requested digital services to ban Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed startled when she was approached by the individual. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the rest of the event proceeded as normal.

Numerous of attendees had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional premiere in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the acclaimed stage production Wicked, which centers on the surprising friendship between two distinct characters.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned a dozen Oscar nominations, winning several for outstanding attire and production design.
