Soccer Expert Sutton Takes On Singer Olly Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' 10-game victorious streak was ended by Sunderland prior to the international break, but will the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Spurs this Sunday?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling best this season - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus artificial intelligence, fans and a range of guests.

In week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

The singer's new record, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished artist and has been a star of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a friend of mine," he said. "My side was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our team for several seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is already stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this fixture will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - although both of them were on the road - but they got thoroughly beaten by Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won two in a row before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this campaign came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was previously that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - will it be West Ham extending their run under their manager, or the home side responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a several people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their last four games.

A family member told me to select Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely score again on Saturday but I am still not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had much success on the travel this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at home. The visitors will attempt to attack on the break but I think the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it in reality proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

They have have lots of quality in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the 2-2 tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the close of last month.

However I am not choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the only side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be absolutely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

The guest's choice: I know the visitors are doing well and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a hard one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the teams who profit from the {international break|
